The concept of religion is common to many cultures around the world. Most of these cultures have many gods and a relationship with the creator god. They worship and sacrifice to honor these gods. Many cultures also believe in a Dying and Reviving God. In this sense, religion is a powerful entity. Religion can also have a profound impact on politics.

The Chinese folk religion, also known as Chinese popular religion, encompasses a variety of traditional religious practices in China and its diaspora. The term is used to describe all traditional religious practices that originated in China, including the beliefs of Han Chinese diaspora.

Other religions in East and Southeast Asia

The region is home to a variety of other religions. Some of these are indigenous, while others are part of a world religion. Islam is the most widespread religion in Southeast Asia, with Buddhism and Christianity claiming the second and third most-followed positions.
